Posters and photo cards in the window go out of date fast: a home sells, a price drops or a new property comes on the market. A Narrow.TV window display takes that off your plate. It pulls your listings straight from your own system and always shows what is actually available, day and night.

How it works

  1. Connect your listings. In the dashboard, enter the address of the XML or JSON feed from your real estate software or website.
  2. Map the fields. Narrow.TV makes a first suggestion; you see a sample value from your feed next to each field and adjust where needed.
  3. Pair the screen. Install the Narrow.TV Player on an Android TV or media box and enter the pairing code.
  4. Done. From now on your listings update automatically.

What appears on screen

Each property gets a clean, calm presentation with large photos and the details passers-by look for:

  • Photos of the property.
  • Asking price, with the price terms you normally use.
  • Address: street, number, postal code and town.
  • Features such as floor area, plot size, number of rooms and bedrooms, energy rating, year built and property type.
  • Status badge: For sale, Under offer, Sold and so on.

Under offer or sold? It shows straight away

The status comes from your own system. Mark a property as under offer, reserved, sold or let, and the badge appears on screen with the next update. Sold properties stay visible for a few days with a Sold badge, and you choose how many. That way your window also shows what you sell. After that they disappear by themselves.

Connected via XML or JSON

Most real estate systems and agency websites can publish their listings as an XML or JSON feed. Ask your software supplier or web developer for the feed address.

  • Field mapping happens in the dashboard: for each field you pick the matching value from the feed.
  • Protected feeds work too, with a token or a custom header.
  • How often listings are fetched is up to you, from every 15 minutes to once a day. One click fetches them instantly.
  • Several branches? Connect a feed per branch so every office shows its own listings.

Add properties by hand

No feed, or a property that is not in your system yet? Add it by hand in the dashboard, with photos, price, address, features and status. You can also take a property off the screens for a while with a single tick.

Portrait or landscape, in the window or the office

A portrait screen fits nicely in a narrow window, a landscape screen on the office wall or in the waiting area. Hanging the screen behind glass? Choose a high-brightness display so your listings stay readable in the sun. More tips in which screen to choose for digital signage.

More than just listings

Window displays run on the same platform as Narrow.TV digital signage. Between your properties you show regular slides: your team, client reviews, an invitation for a free valuation or your opening hours. You create them with the slide editor and templates in the same dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with my real estate software?

Yes, as long as your system or website can publish your listings as an XML or JSON feed. In the dashboard you enter the feed address and map the fields, such as address, price, photos and status. Not sure? Send us your feed address and we will take a look with you.

How quickly does a new listing appear on screen?

Narrow.TV fetches your listings automatically, every hour by default. You choose how often, from every 15 minutes to once a day, and you can fetch the feed instantly with one click.

How long does a sold property stay on screen?

You decide. For each connection you set how many days a sold property stays on screen with a Sold badge. After that it disappears by itself.

Can I add properties without a feed?

Yes. You can add properties by hand in the dashboard, with photos, price, address and features. Useful if you do not have a feed yet, or for a property that is not in your system.

Which screen do I need for the window?

Any screen with Android TV, or a regular screen with an Android media box running the Narrow.TV Player. Portrait and landscape both work. If the screen faces the sun behind glass, choose a high-brightness display so your listings stay readable during the day.
