Your stock changes every day: cars come in, prices are adjusted and cars are sold. A Narrow.TV showroom screen always shows your current stock, without anyone making posters or updating a slideshow. The data comes straight from the system you already use to manage your vehicles.

How it works

  1. Connect your stock. In the dashboard, enter the address of the XML or JSON feed from your dealer or stock system, or from your website.
  2. Map the fields. Narrow.TV makes a first suggestion; you see a sample value from your feed next to each field and adjust where needed.
  3. Pair the screen. Install the Narrow.TV Player on an Android TV or media box and enter the pairing code.
  4. Done. From now on your stock updates automatically.

What appears on screen

  • Photos of the car.
  • Make, model and trim, so it is clear at a glance which car it is.
  • Year, mileage, fuel type and transmission, plus power, colour and body type where your feed provides them.
  • Price, with your own price note if you like.
  • Status, such as Reserved or Sold.

Sold? It leaves the screen by itself

When a car is marked as sold in your system, Narrow.TV takes it off the screen with the next update. Your customers never see a car that has already gone. Would you rather show how fast your cars sell? Then keep sold cars on screen for a few days with a Sold badge.

Connected via XML or JSON

Many dealer and stock management systems and car dealer websites can publish their stock as an XML or JSON feed. Ask your supplier for the feed address.

  • Field mapping happens in the dashboard: for each field you pick the matching value from the feed.
  • Protected feeds work too, with a token or a custom header.
  • How often the stock is fetched is up to you, from every 15 minutes to once a day.
  • Several sites? Connect a feed per location so every showroom shows its own stock.

Add cars by hand

No feed, or a car that is not in your system yet? Add it by hand in the dashboard. You can also hide a car for a while, for example while it is being prepared for delivery.

Showroom, window and workshop

Put a large landscape screen in the showroom, a portrait screen in the window and a screen in the workshop waiting area, so customers waiting for their car see what you have on offer. You manage every screen from the same dashboard.

Combine with your own slides

Showroom screens run on the same platform as Narrow.TV digital signage. Between your cars you show regular slides: a service offer, your test drive service, workshop opening hours or a video of a new model. You create them with the slide editor and templates in the same dashboard.

What you need

  • A screen with Android TV, or a regular screen with an Android media box.
  • The free Narrow.TV Player and an internet connection.
  • An XML or JSON feed of your stock, or your cars entered by hand.
  • A Narrow.TV subscription. See our pricing or ask us about the options.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with my dealer management or stock system?

Yes, as long as your system or website can publish your stock as an XML or JSON feed. In the dashboard you enter the feed address and map the fields, such as make, model, price, photos and status. Not sure? Send us your feed address and we will take a look with you.

What happens when a car is sold?

As soon as the car is marked as sold in your own system, it leaves the screen with the next update. If you would rather keep sold cars on screen for a while with a Sold badge, you set the number of days per connection.

How often is the stock updated?

Every hour by default. You choose how often, from every 15 minutes to once a day, and you can fetch the feed instantly with one click.

Can I add cars by hand?

Yes. Add a vehicle by hand in the dashboard, with photos, price and specifications. Handy for a car that has just come in or a model you want to highlight in the showroom.

Which screens can I use?

Any screen with Android TV, or a regular screen with an Android media box and the Narrow.TV Player. Portrait or landscape, in the showroom, the window or the workshop waiting area.
