Your POS, order kiosk and Scan & Order work with one product range and one stock in the dashboard. With the Narrow.TV API you connect that data to the systems you already use. Connect your own systems, or have your developer or partner build the integration.
What can you use the API for?
- Accounting: fetch the daily revenue per VAT rate and per payment method, or read the Z reports and individual receipts.
- Web shop or ERP: keep products, prices and stock in sync between your own system and Narrow.TV.
- Reporting and BI: use your sales and orders in your own dashboards and analyses.
- Your own order handling: pass kiosk and Scan & Order orders on to your own systems.
How to get started
- Open API access in the account menu of the dashboard. Only the account owner sees this page.
- Create a token with a name and, if you like, an expiry date.
- Choose the permissions per location: read POS data, read or manage products, read or manage stock, and read orders.
- Copy the token. It is shown only once. After that the list shows when it was last used, and you can revoke it at any time.
What the API offers
POS data
Read the receipts of a location, with lines, discounts, VAT and payments. Fetch the Z reports, or a daily summary with revenue per VAT rate and per payment method: exactly what your accounting needs. The journal of the POS is read-only through the API; it cannot be changed.
Products
Read and manage categories, products and product options. In a single request you update up to 500 products at once, matched on your own article code. Categories can be given by name, and product photos as a link: Narrow.TV downloads them in the background.
Stock
Read stock levels and stock movements. Record counts, deliveries and corrections, per product or in bulk.
Orders
Read the orders from your order kiosk and Scan & Order, with lines, amounts, payment method and status.
Webhooks: know right away
With webhooks Narrow.TV sends a message to your own system as soon as something happens: a sale, a day closing, a stock change, a new or updated order, or a change in products and product options. Every message is signed (HMAC), so you can check that it really comes from Narrow.TV. If a delivery fails, Narrow.TV automatically tries again.
Secure and reliable
- All traffic runs over HTTPS, with JSON.
- Each token only has the permissions per location you give it, and can have an expiry date.
- With an idempotency key a change can safely be sent again without being processed twice.
- Rate limits per token keep the API fast and stable for everyone.
For developers
The documentation at connect.narrow.tv describes every endpoint with examples, the permissions, pagination, error codes and how to verify webhook signatures. There is an OpenAPI 3.1 specification to generate clients from, and a sandbox next to the production environment.

What does the API cost?
The API is included with the POS, the order kiosk and Scan & Order. If you have at least one of them, you can create API tokens. You will find the prices of those products in our pricing section.
Are there ready-made integrations with accounting software?
Not yet. The API is there to connect your own systems, or to have your developer or partner build an integration. The daily revenue per VAT rate and per payment method can be fetched directly for that.
Can I change POS sales through the API?
No. The POS journal is read-only through the API. Every sale stays recorded so it cannot be changed, just like in the register itself.
Who can create API tokens?
Only the account owner, in the dashboard under API access in the account menu. That is also where you manage webhooks.
What does a developer need?
A token with the right permissions and the documentation at connect.narrow.tv/docs. It lists every endpoint with examples, explains webhooks and links to the OpenAPI specification.
